A good thing happened last week... I got more commission work. The down side is I was not as productive as I had planned. Yep a little behind but still working shops.

MASK - The Game

Below is displayed the progression on the Red Mask Character. Added the shield and mini staff, working from the top down to block in the areas of distinct hardware and texture. This image is like working with acrylic paints, it is just working with photoshop layers that is different.



Below is the inclusion of another character - Green Mask.







As with the Red Mask above, I created preliminary drawings and a rough pose that I will start adding more detail to later (much later with the influx of work). But it is all good. If I get to elaborate the last character next week, a symbiosis of a idea of what the opposing forces within the game will become apparent. then I can start on the environs then storyboard an animatic. I am feeling this as more of a STRATEGY game as opposed to the stab 'em, kill 'em, blow 'em all to h--l type game that currently populates the minds of the gaming masses. Yeah Right ...LOL - but a brotha got to give it a try.

Progress on this so far has been slow also but at least I am at the stage where I can quit applying textures and indicating surfaces. As you see the progress from last week to this one.



Nope no stars yet... that will be the last thing I will do ...LOL. But what I am more concerned with is the tonal quality and color that I will begin PAINTING detail color and light into this massive structure. Found a little inconsistency in my drawing of this structure that I will correct as I paint in the finishing touches. I placed the dark blue version just to check out a more subdued lighting version. This WILL be the second (last) version I WILL work on and probably be the hardest because I'll be adding small lights in the hull of the "GYE NYAME" space station (see what my insanity does for me). But Yo people, I am asking those who care to read to give me a suggestion of which tonal version should I start painting? Should it be 'This Weeks' version, the 'Tan Brown Base', the 'Blue Base' or the 'Black and White Base' version?

As I write this I am slipping in time to finish the hand of the Ayele statue... this is the only one that suffered so I will probably give more attention to this skill set in next weeks posting. Until next week people... Strength, Success and Prosperity to you and yours.
